See Alaska Glaciers Up Close – Amazing!

We land on a gravel bar at the terminal moraine and hike about 10 minutes to outer Lake George and explore the ice bergs and the face of the Knik glacier across the glacier lake. Surrounded by high mountains with the Knik and Colony glaciers in full view, endless ice bergs and wild flowers, make this an up close and personal experience you will never forget!

Walk among ancient ice bergs that are thousands of years old. Hear the cracking of the glaciers calving off and splashing into the lake. Travel off the road system with us and see what unspoiled and undeveloped Alaska really looks like. The ice you can touch and handle on one of these glacier landing flights is different than any ice you have touched before. For thousands of years it has been compacted and compressed as it ground its way down the mountains. Each year the snow falls it builds and compresses until the oxygen is pushed out turning the ice a majestic blue color. It’s a truly amazing experience to see nature at it’s best.
